Skyline Lounge

The Skyline Lounge is the 15th-floor amenity space at Avalon Towers in downtown Bellevue: a fireplace lounge, a long dining table, a kitchenette with an island, and three glass-walled study pods, with the city in the windows. Avalon Towers rents it by the hour on Peerspace for meetings, off-sites and private events of up to 75 people.
The people who book a space like this have never stood in it. They are comparing it with other listings on a phone, from the photos and a 3D tour. We made a short film for the listing so they can also see the room move: how the light comes across the table, how the pods sit off the main room, and where the view is.

The Film
The film opens wide on the lounge with the name over the room and the listing's own numbers under it: the rating, the capacity, the three-hour minimum and the square footage. The facts a renter checks first are on screen before the tour starts.
From there the camera moves the way a visitor would, along the dining table to the fireplace seating, into a study pod, past the kitchenette and back out to the window seat. One last wide pass, and the end card sends them to the booking page.

The Frames
Each shot was framed to hold as a still, so the same pass through the lounge gave Avalon Towers six graded frames to run beside the film, one for each part of the floor.
