How We Filmed French Modern Estate for Onyx & Alabaster

Onyx & Alabaster didn't start this house from scratch. It was a spec home in Brentwood, and the builder had already chosen the finishes. The O+A team's job was to turn it into a French Modern family home for the new owners, working with those selections instead of replacing them.

We came in once the rooms were finished.

What we filmed

The film is a slow walkthrough of the house. Because so much of the design work was in the details, most of the shots stay close on decisions O+A made: a wall finish, a custom piece in the afternoon sun, the way one room leads into the next. We also wrote and recorded a voiceover to run under it.

Where it ended up

The film is on YouTube, where it has passed 14,000 views without any paid promotion, and O+A feature it on their website. The house is also a 2026 Houzz award project.

Jessie Clarke, O+A's creative director, wrote afterward that the team "had zero complaints with the process."
